The platform comes bundled with a robust Digital Rights Management (DRM) module. Digital Rights Management (DRM) plays an important role in the management of licenses and authorized content distribution, preventing consumers from duplicating or distributing purchased content. DRM prevents copying, defines a time period for which the content can be accessed, and restrict the number of devices on which users can log in and access the publisher's content.

Content Security is our prime focus. The platform prevents content piracy and provides control over who can access what.

  • Content encryption is done using the AES 256 encryption standard.
  • Publishers can easily license content to schools, teachers & individual users.
  • Facility to provide access codes to go with textbooks.
  • Choose from a variety of license types — User-based, Device-based, or Domain based.
  • Choose when the subscription begins & ends.

DRM Techniques: The portal uses the Restrictive Licensing Agreements technique, which involves creating Purchase Orders using three types of licensing.

  1. User-based license
  2. Device-based license
  3. Domain-based license
  • Each license type has its own business use case and it enables publishers to distribute licenses as per their need.
  • Additionally, the e-commerce portal can also be used for subscription-based services for eBooks. This allows end-users to rent the books for a certain duration.
