Domain-based licenses, is a kind of a license for school and districts wherein the users derive the access to the content on the platform within IP address(es)/IP address range/ referral URLs. While creating domain-based license, publisher define the count of the users that could access the content within the PO (purchase order). The platform generated product URL(s) for the products binded in the PO. The user once allocated with the product URL(s) created through domain-based license could access the content on the web without the need for personal logins.

  • In domain-based license, the "Number of licenses" means the total number of users who can access the content via specific IP Address(es) or IP Address range or Referral URL(s).

For example: If a Purchase order contains 50 number of licenses for two Math books and IP Address restriction is (192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.50)

Then, the platform will generate two product URLs that can be accessed by 50  users within the specific IPs.
