Create and Manage Rubric

Publishers and teachers may use the pre-created rubrics or create new rubrics for an assignment. These rubrics are used by the teacher for student evaluation on the assignment.

Follow the below steps to create a new rubric:

1. Log in to the portal.

2. Click "Assignment" on the left-hand side menu. 

You will see the below screen

3. Click " Create New" to add a new assignment.  


4. Click "Online Assignment" from the drop-down menu.


You will be redirected to the “Create Assignment” page.



5. Enter details to create a new assignment. 


6. Click "Add Rubrics." 

You will be redirected to a "Create Rubric" page, where you will see a  blank rubric template with no criteria and evaluation parameters. 

7. Enter "Rubric Name": The name of the rubric is a required field so that it can be re-used in another assignment. 

  • Character limit - 50 Characters

8. Add Criterion: You can add new criteria to the rubric by clicking on the “Add New Criteria” button. The criteria will be added at the bottom of the rubric. Users can edit the criteria text or evaluation parameter text by clicking on the "Edit" button.


9. Add Rating Parameter: By clicking on the " + " Add button, you can add another evaluation rating parameter and edit the text by clicking on the "Edit" button for each evaluation parameter.


10. Enable Scoring in the Rubric: Publishers and teachers can mark each evaluation parameter of the Rubric with a score (in points).

11. Click "Save.". The rubric will be saved with the name mentioned in the "Rubric Name" field.

Note: 

  • If the publisher/teacher has created multiple rubrics and would like to use any pre-created rubric for an assignment, they can find the rubric on the right-hand side list view. 
  • They can also edit, create a copy or delete any existing rubrics by clicking on the hamburger menu on the right-hand side rubric list.
