Manage Assignments

This page provides a comprehensive platform for managing and overseeing various assignments. It offers features for creating, editing, evaluating, and analyzing assignments, making it a valuable tool for instructors and administrators.


Creating a New Assignment:

  1. Access the New Assignment Page:

    • Click on the "New Assignment" button to open the assignment creation form.

  2. Enter Assignment Details:

    • Assignment Title: Provide a clear and concise title for the assignment.

    • Description: Enter a detailed description of the assignment, including instructions, expectations, and any relevant context.

  3. Attach Files (Optional):

    • If applicable, click the "Attach File" button to upload any relevant files or resources.

  4. Set the Score:

    • Specify the maximum possible score for the assignment.

  5. Link with Content (Optional):

    • If the assignment is related to specific content, select the appropriate content from the available options.

  6. Select Metadata (Optional):

    • Choose relevant metadata tags to categorize and organize the assignment.

  7. Select Grade (Optional):

    • If applicable, select the grade level or course for which the assignment is intended.

  8. Select Tags (Optional):

    • Add relevant tags to make the assignment easier to find and filter.

  9. Assigning Information:

    • Class: Select the class or course to which the assignment belongs.

    • Select Group (Optional): If applicable, assign the assignment to specific groups within the class.

    • Select Student (Optional): If you want to assign the assignment to individual students, select them from the list.

  10. Setting:
    Available Date & Time: Set the date and time when the assignment becomes available to students.

Due Date & Time: Specify the deadline for students to submit their completed assignments.

Grace Period Days: If applicable, allow a grace period for late submissions.

  1. Add Rubrics (Optional):

If you have created rubrics for assessment, add them to the assignment.

  1. Assign

Click the "Assign" button to save the assignment and make it available to students.

Using Filters to Refine Your Search

      Filters:

  • Created by: Me, Others, All

  • Status: Assigned, Unassigned

  • Grades: Select specific grades

  • Score: Graded, Ungraded

  • Rubrics: Filter based on rubrics

      How to Use:
  1. Access Filters panel.

  2. Select criteria.

  3. Apply filters.

  4. Clear filters if needed.

Modify Assignment:

  • Edit: Title, description, files, score, link, metadata, grade, tags.

  • Assign to: Classes, groups, and students.

  • Set: Available date, due date, grace period.

  • Save: Apply changes.

      How:

     1. On clicking the desired assignment title

     2. On selecting the modify option 

Viewing and Managing Assignment Responses:

  • Student Responses:

    • View each student's individual response to the assignment.

    • Identify students who have not submitted or completed the assignment.

  • Grading:

    • Assign grades to individual student responses.

    • Use rubrics or custom scoring criteria to evaluate student work.

  • Feedback:

    • Provide personalized feedback to students on their responses.

    • Offer guidance, suggestions, or corrections to help students improve.

  • Attachments:

    • View any files attached to student responses.

    • Download or review these files to assess student work.

  • Filters:

    • Use filters to narrow down the list of responses based on specific criteria such as graded, submitted, or not submitted.

How to Use:

  1. Access the Assignment Responses Page:

    • Click on the "View Responses" button for the desired assignment.

  2. Review Student Responses:

    • Examine each student's response to the assignment.

    • Assess the quality of the work and identify areas for improvement.

  3. Grade Responses:

    • Enter the appropriate grade for each student's response.

    • Use the grading scale or rubric provided.

  4. Provide Feedback:

    • Write personalized feedback for each student, addressing their strengths and weaknesses.

    • Offer suggestions for improvement or clarification.

  5. View Attachments:

    • If students have attached files, click on the file name to view or download them.

  6. Use Filters:

    • Apply filters to focus on specific groups of responses, such as graded or ungraded submissions.

View Assigned Students:

  1. Locate the "Assigned to" Section:

    • Find the "Assigned to" section within the assignment table.

  2. View Class, Group, and Student Information:

    • The section will display the classes, groups, or individual students that have been assigned the assignment.

Action Menu Options:

Available Options:

  • Modify:

    • Edit the assignment's details, such as the title, description, due date, or scoring criteria.

  • Create a Copy:

    • Create a duplicate of the assignment with the same settings, allowing you to reuse the content while making modifications.

  • Delete:

    • Remove the assignment permanently.

  • Download Submission:

    • Download all student submissions for the assignment in a single file.

  • Upload Submission:

    • Allow students to upload their submissions directly to the platform.
