Manage Students

The Manage Students module is a powerful tool designed to help teachers effectively manage their students and their progress within the learning platform. This module provides a centralized location for teachers to view student information, assign tasks, track progress, and take action as needed.
Key Features
Student Table: The main component of the module is the student table, which displays a list of all enrolled students. Each student entry includes the following information:
Student Name: The full name of the student.
Username: The student's unique username for logging into the platform.
Class: The class(es) the student is enrolled in.
Content Assigned: An indicator of whether content has been assigned to the student.
Approval Status: The approval status of the student's enrollment (e.g., pending, approved).
Deactivate: An option to deactivate the student's account if necessary.
Action: A dropdown menu with various actions that can be performed on the student's record, such as:
Edit: Modify the student's information.
Notification: Send a notification to the student.
Impersonate: Log in as the student to view the platform from their perspective.
Delete: Remove the student from the platform (with caution).
Report: Generate a report on the student's progress.
Filtering and Searching
Teachers can use the "Select Class" dropdown menu to filter the student list by class. Additionally, the search bar allows teachers to quickly find students by their first name, last name, or username.
Adding Students
Teachers can add new students to their classes by clicking the "Add Student" button. This will redirect them to a page where they can enter the student's information and create an account.
Bulk Uploading Students
For larger classes or when importing student data from external sources, teachers can use the "Bulk Upload" feature. This allows them to upload a CSV file containing student information, which will be automatically added to the platform.
Preparing Your CSV File
Download the Template: Click the "Download template" button to download a CSV template with the required fields.
Fill in the Fields: Enter the following information for each student:
First Name: The student's first name.
Username: A unique username for the student (alphanumeric with no spaces).
Password: A secure password for the student's account (between 6-20 characters).
Class Name: The name of the class the student will be enrolled in.
Last Name: (Optional) The student's last name.
Grade Name: (Optional) The student's grade level.
Parent or Guardian's Email: (Optional) The email address of the student's parent or guardian.
Parent Approval Required: (Optional) Indicate whether parent approval is required for enrollment (Yes or No). If "Yes," the "Parent or Guardian's Email" field is mandatory.
Uploading Your CSV File
Drag and Drop: Drag and drop your completed CSV file onto the designated area on the page.
Select File: Click the "Select file from computer" button and choose your CSV file from your device.
Continue: Click the "Continue" button to initiate the upload process.
