LTI 1.3 with Schoology- Grade Passback Setting with Custom Parameter and Deeplink URL

Grade Passback with Custom Parameters

  1. Go to the > Courses from Admin account and then select the course in which you have created the Assessment


  1. Click on the setting icon of the assessment created > Click Edit >  Now add the Custome parameter in the Custom Parameter input box 


 For example 

Custom parameter-  

custom_launch_id=product

custom_launch_code=product id 

  1. For the custom parameter > login with the Teacher account > Launch the MB platform > Create an assessment/ Already Created assessment > Copy the Custom parameter as shown in the below image

  1. Note- During the creation of the App, under LTI Advantage Extension- “Assignment Grade services” and “Names and Roles services” should be checked.


  1.  If any assignment is associated with this developer key then that assignment is automatically launched in this assessment in the magicbox portal.

  2.  After the launch, the teacher should assign this assessment to the class or any particular user. After that, students will be able to access the assessment.

  1. The student can launch the assignment from the Schoolgy. They will also be able to directly launch the assessment of the particular assignment in the detailed phase.

  1. Once the students submit their assessments, the scores will automatically be sent back to schoolgy through MagicBox and the scores will be displayed in the grade book section.


Grade Passback with Deeplink URL

  1. Go to the > Courses from Admin account and then select the course in which you have created the Assessment


  1. Click on the setting icon of the assessment created > Click Edit >  Now add the Deeplink URL in the URL input box 

  1. For the Deeplink URL  > login with the Teacher account > Launch the MB platform > Create an assessment/ Already Created assessment > Copy the Deeplink URL as shown in the below image

  1. Note—During the app's creation, the “Assignment Grade services” and “Names and Roles services” should be checked under LTI Advantage Extension.


  1.  If any assignment is associated with this developer key then that assignment is automatically launched in this assessment in the magicbox portal.

  2.  After the launch, the teacher should assign this assessment to the class or any particular user. After that, students will be able to access the assessment.
