QTI Import Feature

MagicBox platform has added a new feature of "Import question", from which publishers, admin, and teachers will be able to perform the following functions-
- Ingest QTI Markup for Verison 2.1, 2.2, and 3.0.
- Import QTI Item for Verison 2.1, 2.2, and 3.0.
- Bulk Import Questions for Verison 2.1, 2.2, and 3.0.
Follow the below steps to ingest QTI Markup and save QTI Questions on the platform. -
1. Log in to the platform.
2. Click 'Assessment' on the left menu.
3. Click ' Import Question' in the sub-menu. You will see the below page as shown in the screenshot.
4. Click the 'Ingest QTI Markup' button.
4. Copy-paste or enter the QTI XML code in the space provided.
For every question imported, there will be a unique id that will show in the markup.
For every question imported, there will be a tag.
5. Upon clicking the “Save Data” button, the author will be able to save the data and the saved data will be displayed in the QTI question list view.
Upon clicking the “Reset” button, the author will be able to reset the code sheet to its default state.
Upon clicking the “ Cancel” button, the author will be able to close the add question page and will return to the import question page.
Follow the below steps to Import QTI item (zip file) and save the QTI question on the platform.
1. log in to the platform.
2. Click 'Assessment' on the left menu.
3. Click ' Import Question' in the sub-menu. You will see the below page as shown in the screenshot.
4. Click the 'Import QTI item' button.
5. The author can only upload zip files from their system.
The file size should not be greater than 20MB.
Import file format should be QTI Specification( e.g XML).
The system will throw an error message for non-zip files as only zip files can be uploaded”.
6. The uploaded question will be shown in the QTI question list view.
Follow the below steps to Bulk import questions (zip file) and save the QTI question on the platform.
1. Log in to the platform.
2. Click 'Assessment' on the left menu.
3. Click ' Import Question' in the sub-menu. You will see the below page as shown in the screenshot.
4. Click the 'Bulk Import Question' button.
5. The author can only upload zip files from their system.
The file size should not be greater than 20MB.
Import file format should be QTI Specification( e.g XML).
The system will throw an error message for non-zip files as only zip files can be uploaded”.
6. The uploaded question will be shown in the QTI question list view.
View the QTI question list view on the import question page
1.Click on the “Code View” action icon to preview the saved XML question.
You can preview the question in the pop-up.
2. The “Export" action icon will be displayed with a drop-down for different QTI versions (3.0). The author can click on QTI 3.0 version to export the question.
3. The "Delete" action icon will be displayed. Upon the click of delete, the author will be able to delete the saved data.
The author will see the below confirmation message. Click 'Yes' to delete the saved data.
4. Upon the click of the check box, the user can select multiple questions and delete and export the selected questions in QTI 3.0 version.
