Create "Likert type Single Choice" Question

Publishers, school/district admins and teachers can create different types of questions on the platform. In a "Single Choice" type question, there is only a single correct answer and the rest of the options are distractors. These questions are added on the “Questions” page and can be used while creating a standard test.
The Likert type is an add-on attribute in the single-choice question type. Here the question author can select the option “Enable Likert” under the question settings of single-choice questions. After selecting the Likert enabled check box the author will be able to create a Likert scale and add options to the Likert scale.
Follow the below steps to create a Likert type single-choice type question:
- Log in to the portal.
- Click “Assessment” on the left-hand side menu.
- Click “Questions” in the sub-menu.
You will be redirected to the “Questions” page. Here, you can view the list of questions that are already created.
4. Click “New Question” to add a new question.
Click on “Single Choice” type question from the Question Type menu.
You will be redirected to the “ Single Choice Question” page.
6. Enter the question text and the choices in the space provided, with the help of the Wysiwyg Editor.
Note: It is mandatory to add a minimum of 2 choices for each question. You can add more than 2 choices for a question, by clicking on the “Add Choice” button. Click on the "Delete" icon in front of each choice to delete a choice.
7. Select the correct answer by clicking on the radio button in front of each choice.
Note: For single choice type of questions, you can have only one correct answer.
8. Click on the tick icon to save the question.
Enable Likert question setting -
1. Click on the question setting icon.
2. Enable the Likert toggle.
3. Click on the tick icon to save the question. The question option will now appear in a Likert scale view.
The author can add a minimum of two choices as text, images, or numbers.
The author will not be able to choose the correct answer.
Single-choice questions will not be auto-evaluated if the Likert scale is enabled.
Rest all settings will be the same as the single-choice questions.
The teacher will manually evaluate the single-choice Likert questions. They will be able to see the option selected by the student.
