The library page is a crucial part of our platform and is used extensively by all student users. As a result, it was imperative to not only give it a modern look and feel but also incorporate feedback from end-users to improve the user experience and make it easier to use.

The updated UI/UX of the Library page includes several changes that will make it more user-friendly and efficient, including:

  • Structuring the library page to avoid overcrowding of content, which can lead to decision paralysis at first glance.

  • Simplifying the use of colors in icons and typography to avoid distractions from the main task.

  • Clear demarcation of different content types with more white space and new fresh empty states.

  • An upfront search and a new list view containing sufficient content information have been added to improve content scanning and discoverability.

  • New and improved filters with relevant calls-to-action have been added to avoid performance issues.

  • A balanced and organized information hierarchy on the book overview page.

These changes will help students quickly find the resources they need and improve their overall experience on our platform.

Search

Students can search for the assigned content (all content types) by entering the title, author, ISBN, or description in the search field.

Continue Learning

The Continue Learning section will give the list view of the top 8 ebook that students have launched but have not finished yet. This section on the Library is designed for students as it will save time and effort in content search from the library thereby improving content discoverability on the platform. This will not only help them track learning progress but also help develop positive engagement with the product.

  • For Ebook - Any book which is launched and less than 75% read will be marked as in progress.
  • An empty state will shown in case there is no ebook in continue learning section.
  • If there are more than 8 ebook in progress, then the remaining will be shown in the below section on the library page. The continue learning will show a list of the top 8 books in order of last launch.

Filter-

  • Students can click on the 'x' icon on the filter label or click 'Clear all' to remove the filters.
