The Learning Assistant will be able to help all user roles in context and content searching. The Learning Assistant can provide answers to questions from within the epub/course. The Learning Assistant can also help search content in the library and reply to FAQs.
The Learning Assistant can perform the following actions:
1. Learning Assistant Search: Allows users to perform searches specifically within the learning assistant.
2. Content Search: Enables users to search for content using content titles and metadata.
3. Context Search: Provides answers from eBooks and courses based on user queries presented in question form.
4. FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions): The Learning Assistant is equipped to respond to frequently asked questions, which users have previously submitted. These FAQs and corresponding answers are meticulously curated by the Magic Box team via the admin portal.
5. Assigned Course: Search for the number of content items and courses assigned to the user.
6. Kea Assistant: Users can get summarized responses from ChatGPT as well as the Learning Assistant.
7.ChatGPT: Users will have an option to get answers from ChatGPT.
8. Ask Google: Ask Google has been integrated into the chatbot.
The Learning Assistant can perform the following searches:
Content Search - The Learning Assistant can help users search for content (all types of content) from the library. Here, the user can search by simply entering the content title or content metadata in the chatbox.
To enable such a search:
1. Log in to the portal.
2. Click on the Learning Assistant icon. A chat box will pop up on the screen.
3. Click "Search."
4. Enter the title of the content or content metadata.
Users can launch the content from the Learning Assistant by clicking on the Content Title/Thumbnail.
Context Search - The Learning Assistant can also provide answers from within an eBook and course, along with the eBook/course from which it has picked the answer.
Note - The user's search request should be in the form of a question for Context Search.
To enable this type of search:
1. Log in to the portal.
2. Click on the Learning Assistant icon. A chat box will pop up on the screen.
3. Enter your question in the chat box. For example - "What is a Madding Crowd"
The Learning Assistant will provide the answer from within the eBook/course, along with the name of the eBook/course from which it has picked the answer.
4. The user can launch the content from the Learning Assistant chatbot. The user will be taken to the same page from which the Learning Assistant has picked the answer.
FAQs
The Learning Assistant can answer FAQs previously asked by the user. These FAQs and answers are manually added by the Magic Box team to the Learning Assistant, from the admin portal. Publishers can also provide their list of FAQs to the Magic Box team.
To enable FAQ answers:
1. Log in to the portal.
2. Click on the Learning Assistant icon. A chat box will pop up on the screen.
3. Click "FAQ."
4. Enter the question in the space provided. The Learning Assistant will provide the FAQ answer.
