Create a Standard Test and add Descriptive Question

Publishers, school/district admins and teachers can use authored questions or add new questions and create standard tests on the platform.

Follow the below steps to create a standard test: 


1. Log in to the portal.


2. Click “Assessment” on the left-hand side menu.


3. Click “Standard Test” in the sub-menu. 


You will be redirected to the “Standard Test” page. 


4. Click on “New Standard Test.”




You will be redirected to the “New Standard Test” page.



5. Enter the “New Test Title” and the “New Test Description” in the space provided. Here the “New Test Title” field is the mandatory field.

6. You can either create a new descriptive question by selecting "Descriptive" or add descriptive questions from the question bank in the standard test. The question bank consists of already authored questions, which are listed on the "Question" page.

 

7. Click on “Add Questions from Question Bank” to add authored questions in the standard test.  

8. A "Question Bank" pop-up will appear on the screen. Check the checkbox in front of the questions you want to add in the standard test. You can filter questions in the question bank using various question filters on the left-hand side of the pop-up. 

9. Click on the tick icon in the question bank pop-up, to add the selected questions in the standard test. 

10. The selected questions will be added in the test. 

  •  You can rearrange the question in the standard test by dragging the question from the “Drag it from here” bar. 

  • You can maximize/minimize to view the question by clicking on the "+ " icon.

  • You can edit or remove the question from the standard test by clicking on the  "Edit" icon. 


  1. You can edit the question by clicking on the "Edit" icon on the right-hand side of the question. 

  2. You can set the standard test setting by clicking on the Setting icon on the right-hand side of the “New Standard Test” page. 

  1. Click “Publish” to publish the standard test. Published tests are ready to be assigned to students. 

Or, Click “Save” to save the assessment as a draft.
