End School Session for School within a District

This feature allows district admins to end the school session. By doing so all the existing data and assigned content for the homework, assessment, blog, notifications, content, group, content will be deleted permanently. This data cannot be restored once the school session has been ended.

On the successful end of a session, the following actions take place:
  1. All the existing data (student homework/assessments response, score, grade, blog responses, etc., based on features selected) will be deleted.
  2. All assigned contents to students, whether assigned individually or through a class/group, will be nullified, i.e., no content will be assigned to any student within the school/district.
  3. Publisher-created homework will remain as is and visible to teachers.
  4. Teacher-created homework will still be visible to teachers but without the assignation, due date and response.
  5. Assessment with the existing Questions and Tests will remain visible to Teachers but without the assignation, due date, and response against any of the assessments (including the self attempts).
  6. Teachers created by School Admin will remain as is.
  7. Students created by School Admin / Teacher / Individual Teacher will remain as is.
  8. The class created by School Admin / Teacher / Individual Teacher will remain as is.
  9. The group created by the Teacher / Individual Teacher will still be displayed but the students and contents from the group will be removed. 
  10. Teachers and Students will remain associated with the Class they were a part of.
  11. The existing responses to various blogs will be removed but the blog will remain as is and associated with content.
  12. Assessment reports do not retain data after End Session, whereas Most Engaging Book report, Homework Progress report and Student report data persists even after End Session.
  13. Students recording page and Assign history page data is wiped out after End Session.
  14. When Students log in to the application, depending on the features deleted, one or more of the following takes place:
  • The Library section will be blank
  • There will be no homework assigned/displayed
  • The Assessments tab will not have any data
  • No notification will be displayed
  • No blogs will be displayed.

Follow the below steps to end the school session:

  1. Log in to the portal.
  2. Click "Roster" on the left-hand side menu.
  3. Click "Class" in the sub-menu.

 You will be redirected to the "Manage Classes" page.


4. Click "End School Session". 

You will see the below confirmation message. 


5. By default, all checkboxes will be checked. You can uncheck any checkbox to deselect the feature. (You have to select at least one feature)

6. Select the school from the drop-down for which you wish to end the school session.

6. Click "Yes".   

Note: The "End School Session" button will be disabled until the current transaction is completed. On the successful end of the school session, an email will be sent to the user who has ended the session for the school.
