Add Product Link in the Content

The content authoring tool allows the publisher to add product link hotspots within the content. This hotspot will link another content piece from inside the eBook. When the user clicks on the hotspot, they will be redirected to the linked content, on a different tab. The user must have a valid license for the product that is linked in the eBook. Users can access linked products from an eBook only with a valid license. 

Follow the below steps to add a product link hotspot:

1. Launch the content.

2. Click the "Author" icon on the left-hand side menu.

3. Click anywhere on the content where you want to add the product link hotspot.

4. You will see an "Add Resource" pop-up, as shown in the below screenshot.

5. Click "Product Link." 

6. You will see a "Product Link" pop up on the screen. 

• Enter the title of the product link.
• Enter the Product ID of the content you want to  link to. (Title and product id fields are mandatory.)
• The product ID is autogenerated on the MagicBox platform when content is published. You can retrieve the product ID from the content launch URL.

• You can also enter the page number of the product.(This will redirect the user on the exact page mentioned here.)
• Check the "Visible Only to Teachers" radio button, if you want this product link hotspot to be visible to teachers only. Students will not see this product link hotspot on the eBook.
• Click the tick icon to confirm.

7. The product link hotspot will be created on the page.

• If you want to delete the hotspot, click on the product link hotspot.
• You will see the Product Link pop-up. Click the Delete icon.
