Add Audio in the Content

The content authoring feature allows publishers to add audio hotspots within the content. 

Follow the below steps to add an audio hotspot:

1. Launch the content.

2. Click the "Author" icon on the left-hand side menu.

3. Click anywhere on the content where you want to add the test hotspot.

4. You will see an "Add Resource" pop-up, as shown in the below screenshot.

5. Click "Audio." 

6. You will see an "Upload Audio" pop up on the screen. 

  • You can either upload new audio by clicking on "Upload an audio" (in .mp3 format).

OR

  • Select audio from the audio gallery by clicking on "Uploaded" audio.
  • Any new audio is automatically saved in the Audio Gallery.

7. If you click on Uploaded Audios, you will see an uploaded Audio Gallery pop-up on the screen.

  • Select the audio by clicking on the thumbnail. 
  • Click the tick icon on the pop-up to confirm.

9. You will see a photo pop up on the screen.

  • Click on (a) icon to go back to upload a new audio.
  • Click on (b) icon to go back to the uploaded audio gallery.
  • Add the title and a caption for the audio. (The title field is mandatory.)
  • Check the "Visible Only to Teachers" radio button, if you want this audio hotspot to be visible to teachers only. Students will not see this audio hotspot on the eBook.
  • Click on the tick icon.

Audio hotspot will be added on the page.

  • If you want to delete the hotspot, click on the audio hotspot.
  • You will see the "Audio" pop-up, click the Delete icon.
